Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing.
Psalm 98: 4-5
All of the music groups here at Holy Cross are open to anyone who wants to be a part of making music to praise God. There is no talent requirement and all of the directors will work with anyone who needs a little extra help to get started. We are always looking for new faces to join the smiling faces we already have. If you have any questions please call or email the director of the choir you are interested in, or please feel free to just show up to sing at rehearsal. I guarantee you will be welcomed by everyone in the group. Singing in the choir is a great way to get to know other people at Holy Cross and be a part of worship. I’ll even let you in on a little secret you can even bring your kids into the loft or the front of church to sit with you while you sing. Everybody loves having kids around.

Children’s Choirs
Cherub Choir is for children ages 4 – 1st grade and meets on Tuesdays at 6:00. In Cherub choir kids learn how to sing together. They learn movements to many of their songs and even get to play instruments occasionally. The kids have a great time and love singing in church once a month. The cherub choir is directed by Dr. Curt Sather.
Youth Choir is for children from 2nd through 8th grades and meets on Tuesdays at 6:30. In Angel choir the kids begin to learn to read music and play different instruments. Angel choir also sings once a month and has a great time learning new music. The angel choir is directed by Dr. Curt Sather.
Adult Choirs
Celebration Singers are a group for anyone who enjoys singing contemporary Christian music. The celebration singers meet on Thursday at 6:45 pm. We sing mostly at the 10:30 service. We would love to have more people join us in praising God through song. Celebration singers are directed by Dr. Curt Sather.
Chancel Choir is for anyone who has a voice to sing and meets on Wednesday at 7:00pm. We sing a wide variety of styles of music primarily at the 9:00 service. Chancel choir is directed by Dr. Curt Sather.
Instrumental Groups
Celebration Band is the group of musicians that play for the 10:30 service. Celebration band now meets on Tuesday evening at 6:30. We are always looking for instrumentalists who want to share the gift of music with the congregation. Celebration band is led by Karen Heins.
Our Bell Choir is an intergenerational group that enjoys praising God through music. The bell choir meets on Tuesdays at 7:15. Anyone is welcome to join us, all you need is to be able to read music and have a willingness to learn different styles of bell ringing. The bell choir is directed by Karen Darga.
