Raised in Columbus, Ohio, and active in Lutheran churches in several states before moving to WI in 2012. He grew up in a large family with foster and adopted siblings. Before ministry, he managed restaurants. He is married to Pastor Becky Fetters and they have three children. His interests include motorcycling, woodworking, brewing, cooking, and reading.
