Casey Sugden
Transition pastor
Pastor Casey Sugden has served as an intentional transition pastor in the Greater Milwaukee Synod for the last six years. He realized the importance of transition ministry early in his first call which had a very negative transition period before his arrival. He completed the LuTMA(then NALIP) training in 2019 where he currently serves as faculty. In 2022 he completed an MBA in human resources and organizational change from UW Whitewater. He is currently starting his second year of a Doctor of Ministry degree with Duke Divinity School.
Casey lives in Mukwonago with his spouse Taylor, and their two fox red labradors. Taylor is a middle school principal. They have two fox red labradors, Sassy (12) and Ahsoka(5). When he isn't doing church stuff, Casey can usually be found watching Packers football or Bruins hockey. He has a few hobbies including building and painting models, competitive shooting, and enjoys an occasional fine cigar. His favorite scripture passage is Acts 2:42-47 because it is a portrait of joy in community.
