Ellie Schmidtke

Deacon - Minister of Care & Community

As Minister of Care and Community (Deacon), she primarily ministers to senior citizens and disabled adults, acting as a liaison for related ministries and community agencies. She supports the sick through visits and runs the Prayer Chain. Born and raised in Menomonee Falls, she joined Holy Cross in 1974, where she married, raised her children, and was commissioned as a Deacon in 1999. She focuses on care through Stephen Ministries, the Care and Community Ministry Team, calls, and visits. Married to Bob, she has two children and a grandson, and enjoys gardening, camping, reading, and Mustang cruising.
