Mike Jacklin

Minister of music

The Minister of Music coordinates the music program, serves as principal organist, and oversees the choirs. Born and raised in Chicago, he has over 40 years of experience as a Lutheran church musician. He studied at the Chicago Conservatory of Music and with Dr. Mark Russakoff. He has composed and arranged over 100 musical pieces and conducted many benefit concerts. He enjoys working on historical theater pipe organs and is involved with the Dairyland Theater Organ Society. His hobbies include working out, bike riding, travel, and attending sports games with his partner David and their two cats.
